These gems are the profession perk for jewelcrafters and can be cut into special gems with much higher stat budget.  Unlike prior expansions, they are unique (2) rather than (3).

The recipes to cut these are trained, but they are only available from an NPC in Jade Forest named Mai the Jade Shaper.  They do not require any particular reputation to learn.
