Return of the Ring
You may either keep the ring, or you may find the person responsible for the imprint and engravings on the inside of the band.

Brilliant Gold Ring (Provided)
Description
Opening the box produced by the Sparklematic 5200 reveals a shiny ring! Donning the ring, you feel magic power surge through your body.
Inside the band is a small but nonetheless discernable imprint of the seal of Orgrimmar. Engraved letters are next to it, but only the first three stand out even after cleaning: "NOG..."
This may signify either the initials of the previous owner, or perhaps the initials of the ring's crafter. Keep the ring... or find "NOG" - decisions, decisions...

Posted Apr 17, 2013 (Patch 5.3.0)To complete the Grime-Encrusted Ring quest -- the objectives will not show up on your dungeon map -- place the Grime-Encrusted Ring into the The Sparklematic 5200 found inside The Clean Zone within the Gnomeregan instance. I found that only one of the three Sparklematic machines allowed me to insert the ring, so if the first one doesn't work, try the others.
Turning it in rewards a Brilliant Gold Ring . You will also receive the quest Return of the Ring to return the ring to an NPC in Ironforge or Orgimmar, depending on your faction. Bring the NPC some additional materials and he will upgrade the ring to Nogg's Gold Ring.
