I came here to visit my dad at the temple. As soon as I got here, I saw the most terrifying thing I've ever seen.
It was a mantid, walking right past me, carrying my father's crossbow.
Something's happened to my dad! We've got to find out what it is... but first, we'll need his crossbow back. I saw him heading west, behind the temple.

Posted 10/5/2012 11:17:52 PM (Patch )The crossbow is being held by a mantid named Et'kil, who can be found at 39,65, on the grounds of the temple, in the back, tucked into a corner.
The fight with Et'kil is one of the hardest I've encountered thus far in Mists. Not only does he have 797k HP and do a powerful magic attack called sonic cone (I believe), but he's flanked by two guards, each with 393k HP. The guards also do a very powerful magic attack called Caustic Spray that does damage in a cone in front of them, so avoid that as best as you can.
I was able to solo Et'kil and his guards as a Mistweaver Monk, but it took a lot of self-healing and CD usage.
Return to Ku-Mo at the gates to turn the quest in.
