Posted Sep 9, 2018 (Patch 8.0.1)The item is deposited directly to the character's inventory as soon as the Island Expedition concludes. I won mine after finishing an Island Expedition at Normal difficulty. Once the item is used and you have learned the pet, you can cage it for trading or listing on the Auction House.
