NPC name is reference to the Star Trek: The Next Generation character, Geordi La Forge. The NPC's appearance is even somewhat similar to the character's appearance: he wears a yellow shirt with black trimmings, black pants, black shoes, and - most importantly - goggles. (The skin tone doesn't match but at least it is the darkest skin shade that gnomes can have in the game.)
