Ahune is the holiday boss for Midsummer Fire Festival. According to his Wowpedia page, he is "a frost elemental lord in Neptulon's service. The Twilight's Hammer plan to have him battle Ragnaros to start an elemental war on Azeroth." (Source)
Obviously, this lore no longer makes sense because Ragnaros is truly dead after the events of Patch 4.2. :\
