This pet comes from the trading card set "War of the Ancients". It does have the ability to be caged and sold. Note it cannot be renamed to involve the name kilrogg as that name is reserved by blizzard. The flavor text from the card states it's "Always watching, Always Judging".
The combination of Agony and Soul Ward, along with being an Undead make this pet quite good in Pet battles. Agony has a high damage per turn and Soul ward plus the snare from Gravity (and Undead racial of rezzing) could be used to tank out a High damage dealer and wear them down from your opponent.
