He has three (rare) pets, a beast (bear), mechanical (robostrider), and elemental (lasher).
Building your team: Use mechanical against the bear. Use elemental against the mech. Use aquatic against the elemental.
The bear needs to be burst down quick, because it has a huge healing ability and he likes to stun. He'll either be first or second. Clockwork Gnome's rocket is pretty tough here.
The mechanical is pretty easy to take down compared to the bear. I used a Fel Flame.
Lasher is always last. I hear a snail is great against it, but I used a frog.
If you're going for An Awfully Big Adventure, try Clockwork Gnome (1,1,1) and Anubisath Idol (1,1,1). Open up with Clockwork Gnome, making a Turret. Use Metal Fist whenever Build Turret is down. Grazzle should go down fast. Use the Gnome on the Beakbreaker; it will die, but you want to wear down the mechanical pet. Pull out your Idol and put up Sandstorm, then Crush to finish off Beak, refreshing Sandstorm when it's up. For Bloom, keep Sandstorm up, and use Crush. Only use Deflect the round after Entangling Roots to block that move's entire damage. Crush and keep Sandstorm up to limit damage. Good luck!
This is the first trainer I've had major problems with.
He has a Baby Blizzard Bear, that can deal massive damage with Rampage (~350 per round for three rounds) Heal himself up quickly with Hibernate and has a 1 round stun.
You'll need massive burst to take him down.

This was the most difficult encounter, since up to this point I used the "howl bomb" combo to brute force my way through.
The team I came up with consisted of the following:
It will take a few tries before you find your rhythm and find the RNG gods' favor.
This is the first trainer I've had major problems with.
