Defeat Whispering Pandaren Spirit in a pet battle.
You're back! Up for another battle with me?
You will also receive:
His pets are:
Dusty - Moth (critter)Whispertail - Dragon (dragonkin)Pandaren Air Spirit - Spirit (elemental)
First off, what it says up there about Dusty being a critter is wrong. It used to be the case, but he's now a flying moth. Not sure when it changed, long ago. Anyway, on to my carry team.
I'm sure you could win with 2 Emerald Proto Whelps and a carry, but I try to avoid ridiculous healing teams when I can.
I open with a P/P breed Infinite Whelpling (1,1,1). First move: Tail Sweep, 2nd: Healing Flame. After that, just spam Tail Sweep and use Healing Flame on CD. Your Healing Flame's CD lines up perfectly with his Cocoon Strike. How cool is that? So Assuming no crits from you or moth dust procs, you'll have your dragonkin racial when Whispertail comes in. Go ahead and pop your dragonkin racial enhanced Early Advantage (which hits twice* almost always because you're almost always lower health). Then Healing flame, Tail Sweep. He may kill you, if he does, bring in your carry. If he doesn't, get your early Early Advantage against Pandaren Air Spirit, swap in your carry for a round, then bring in an Emerald Proto Whelp, ((2,1,2) (p/p being the preferred breed)). First off, Air Spirit attacks twice before you even get a move off, so hit Ancient Blessing. Then just spam your Emerald Bite, heal if need be. These 2 can get ugly. I've had battles where both are still over 1000 HP at like 5+ rounds between just these 2. A couple rounds of triple Slicing Winds and I have to go into Emerald Dream while he has his Soothing Mists running, and there you go.
*The tooltip for Early Advantage doesn't clearly describe how it actually works. It always hits for its same base amount, say 361 (for a rare p/p 25 Infinite Whelpling). So it hits for that 361, and if you're lower health after that hit, it hits again for that amount. They have individual chances to crit.
I had terrible trouble with this one. I eventually won with Celestial Dragon, Emerald Proto-Whelp, and Rapana Whelk. It took me multiple tries even with this combination because of the crazy RNG with their attacks. Sometimes I'd lose all three pets by the second mob, but I finally won I had done 75% of the fight with the Celestial Dragon alone, despite not changing anything.
