During the Day of the Dead, people gather in graveyards to celebrate with and cherish the spirits of those they have lost. One can find the festivities in the cemeteries of any major city, where celebrants cook, dance, don costumes, and more.

Posted Oct 31, 2013 (Patch 5.4.1)Day of the Dead is Azeroth's version of the Mexican Día de los Muertos. The very first Day of the Dead took place in 2009.
This holiday does not have any title associated with it. More than anything, it's a time to reflect... or dance around as a skeleton.
Players can complete a quest that awards
Macabre Marionette. Originally, it was a holiday-only pet that would be removed from players' inventories after the event ended; Patch 5.4 has seen the marionette become a true pet.
